Gluten Free Sorghum Pie Crust
Ingredients:
1 cup sorghum flour
1/3 cup butter or shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. xanthan gum
2-3 tbsp. Water
Directions:
Mix together flour, salt, xanthan gum & butter or shortening. Add water & combine well. Pat dough into a 9" pie plate. Add filling & bake according to your favourite pie recipe.
Note: if complete pie is not baked, bake the crust on its own in an oven at 400*F until brown (8-10 mins.). Recipe can be doubled if top & bottom crust is required.
