Mom's meatloaf

Preparation

Step 1


Preheat the oven to 180C/Gas 4. In a small bowl, mix together the horseradish, mustard, salt and pepper. Set aside.


Step 2


In large bowl, mix the minced beef, onion, egg and Worcestershire sauce. Add the contents of the small bowl and mix thoroughly. Add the bread crumbs and combine well.


Step 3


Place the mixture into a 450g loaf pan. Pour tomato ketchup over the top and place in the oven. Bake uncovered for 45 to 60 minutes. Serve hot or cold.

  • 1 tsp prepared horseradish

  • 1 tsp dry mustard

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp pepper

  • 450g minced beef, moistened

  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 50g breadcrumbs

  • 225g ketchup
