Preparation
Step 1
Place the candy canes in a plastic bag and hammer into 0.5cm chunks or smaller.
Step 2
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or in a glass bowl over a pan of hot water.
Step 3
Combine the candy cane chunks with the chocolate (add the peppermint flavouring at this point if desired). Pour the mixture onto a baking sheet layered with greaseproof or waxed paper and place in the refrigerator for 45 mins or until firm.

Crushed candy canes, to yield 1 large handful
900g white chocolate
Peppermint flavourings, optional (Paula says use about 2 tsp, to your taste)
