About the Recipe
Ingredients
2 pounds lean ground beef
2 medium onions, finely chopped
4 cups shredded cabbage
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2(8-ounce) cans refrigerated crescent rolls
1 1⁄2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Step 2
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and onions until the beef is browned and the onions are softened. Drain excess grease.
Step 3
Add the shredded cabbage, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder to the beef mixture. Cook until the cabbage is wilted, about 5 minutes.
Step 4
Unroll one can of crescent rolls and press into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form a crust. Bake for 5 minutes.
Step 5
Spread the beef and cabbage mixture evenly over the baked crescent roll crust.
Step 6
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the beef mixture.
Step 7
Unroll the second can of crescent rolls and place on top of the cheese to form the top crust.
Step 8
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the crescent roll top is golden brown.
Step 9
Let stand for 5 minutes before cutting and serving.
