Chipotle Crema Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cup Mexican crema (or sour cream, or greek yogurt)

  • 2 chipotle in adobo peppers

  • 1 Tablespoon agave syrup (or honey)

  • ½ lime (juice)

  • 1 clove garlic

  • 2 Tablespoons water

  • salt & pepper (to taste)

Preparation

Step 1

Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor.


Step 2


Blend at high speed until nicely smooth and creamy.


Step 3


Taste the sauce and adjust the flavors to taste by adding more lime juice, salt, etc.


Step 4


Transfer to a bowl and serve or to a jar with a tight lid and store for up to 1 week.
