Ingredients
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
1 (10-ounce) package mini marshmallows, divided
1⁄4 cup salted butter
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
Step 1
Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan and set aside 1 cup of the mini marshmallows.
Step 2
In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the remaining marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Step 3
Pour the Rice Krispies cereal into the marshmallow mixture. Gently stir until the cereal is evenly coated.
Step 4
Stir in the reserved 1 cup of mini marshmallows and the mini chocolate chips until just combined.
Step 5
Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan. Using a greased spatula or your hands, press the mixture evenly into the pan.
Step 6
Allow the treats to cool completely at room temperature, then cut them into squares. For faster setting, place the pan in the fridge or freezer until firm.
