Chocolate Chip Mug Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

  • 3 tablespoons milk

  • 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1⁄4 cup all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled

  • pinch salt

  • 2 tablespoons semisweet chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1


In a microwave-safe mug, melt the butter in 15-second intervals. When lump-free, add the brown sugar, white sugar, milk, and vanilla and mix until well blended.


Step 2


Add the flour, salt, and chocolate chips and gently stir to combine. Scrape the bottom and sides of the mug to ensure no dry spots.


Step 3


Microwave on high power for 60 seconds, then set aside to cool for 2-3 minutes.


Step 4


For an extra special treat, top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream and a few more chocolate chips. Enjoy!
